Privacy policy

This page explains what data Puntotek stores, what for, and what you can do about it. It is written from how the application actually works, without empty formulas.

Who handles your data

IMSL, based in Málaga (Spain), contact email info@puntotek.com.

You can use Puntotek without giving us anything

You do not need an account to design patterns. Works are stored in your own browser and never leave your device. Something is only sent to the server when you decide to upload a work, connect your account or share in the gallery.

What is stored if you create an account

  • Your account: email address, display name, public alias, avatar, plan and status.
  • Linked devices: an encrypted fingerprint of the connection code, the kind of device, the application version and the dates of first and last use. The code itself is never stored.
  • The works you upload: the pattern file and its preview images, with the title, size and whether you marked them as visible or downloadable.
  • The activity log: one line for every action that changes something — publishing or withdrawing a work, changing its licence, renaming it, deleting it, moderation decisions, and the creation, alias change or deletion of an account. The date, your identifier and your alias are recorded, on the legitimate interest of handling authorship claims and preventing abuse. Never the contents of your files, nor where you browse.
  • Messages we send to your inbox, and whether you have read them.
  • Likes and reports in the gallery. Likes are not tied to your identity: a random identifier kept in your browser is used, and it is hashed before being stored.

If you sign in with Google

When you connect your account with Google we receive only your email address, your name and your profile picture. Puntotek never receives or stores your password or your Google access token.

What for, and on what basis

The data is used to provide the service you asked for: identifying you, linking your devices, storing your works and showing them if you choose to share them. The basis is the contractual relationship you accept when creating the account, and your consent for anything optional, such as analytics or making a work public.

How long

For as long as your account is open. From My account you can delete it yourself: your profile, your devices, your hosted works and their images are removed. To prevent abuse, a temporary marker derived from your IP address is kept for a few hours and then deleted automatically.

The activity log is the exception: it is kept even if you delete your account, because it is precisely what lets us answer a claim about a pattern months later. It holds none of your files and none of your contact details — only what was done, when, and from which account.

Who it is shared with

Nobody, except the providers needed to run the site: SiteGround (hosting, in the European Union) and Google (sign-in with Google and, if you accept it, analytics). Data is never sold or handed to third parties for commercial purposes.

Beyond that, there is a part you make public yourself: if you choose an alias and publish a work, your author page is visible to anyone and may appear in search engines. It shows your alias, your bio, the networks you added and the works you have published; nothing else. What you do not publish is neither visible nor indexed: a private work has no page, and its address does not exist.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection or restriction by writing to info@puntotek.com. Many of those you can do yourself from My account. If you feel you are not properly attended to, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Minors

The service is not aimed at children under 14. If we find an account belonging to a minor without parental permission, we will delete it.

Changes

Puntotek is in testing and this policy may change as the service grows. Important changes will be announced in the application inbox.
