POPPI the gardener, in green overalls, with a sunflower on her hat and another in the pot she carries in one hand, and a trowel in the other. She is 68 x 111 stitches in 11 colors, more than any other in the series: they go into the two sunflowers and the clay of the pot. And her hat is straw-coloured instead of a bright shade like the rest — the one place she steps outside the series, and it suits someone who spends the day in the sun.
She works on a garden apron, a tool bag or a small frame for the porch. Pick a font from the Collection, type the name in Puntotek and set it under her feet. Stitching and planting have more in common than they look: both are done a little at a time, and neither shows anything for a while.
