Fine handwriting: slanted, drawn in one continuous stroke, with the entries and exits a fountain pen leaves as it lifts. The line is one or two stitches thick and no more, so it competes with nothing — it sits under a drawing, in a dedication or along a verse, and reads as handwritten rather than lettered. It is small, the capitals running 22 to 25 stitches and the lowercase 13, so "Maria" comes to 79 x 22 stitches, about 5½ x 1½ inches on 14-count, and a whole phrase fits on one line without turning into a banner: "Merry Christmas" is 219 x 26. It arrives in green DMC 906 rather than the black of its sisters, one thread throughout, every stitch a whole cross. Being this fine it wants two strands; with one it all but vanishes. All hundred characters of the family, accents, ñ and the Spanish opening marks included. Type whatever you mean to stitch below and see it at once.
