The big sister of Celtic 32: the same uncial hand, a quarter taller. Where that one gives you a 24-stitch capital, this gives you 29 — a shade over two inches on 14-count — and at that size the wedge serifs have room to draw themselves. These are not Roman capitals: the M is the rounded uncial of the manuscript, closer to a large 'm' than to an M. And the tails run deep: the g measures 34 stitches, taller than the A itself, so leave air below the line before you frame it. "Merry Christmas" comes to 246 x 50 stitches against 200 x 40 in the 32. One thread does the whole alphabet, black DMC 310, with no half stitches and no backstitch. All hundred characters are here, accents, ñ and the Spanish opening marks included. Type a name below and compare it with the 32 before you choose.
