Culturas ancestrales / Ancestral CulturesGallery
An Egyptian sampler in a single thread: winged scarabs holding up the sun, sphinxes and griffins facing each other, two temple scenes between papyrus columns, and borders of Greek key and palm closing every band. It is meant for beige fabric and worked in a dark burgundy, like the old samplers it imitates. It is 273 x 311 stitches in one color, about 50 by 56 centimetres on 14-count: a big one, but not a hard one — you work band by band and never change thread.

Suggested fabric: beige.
The threads
| Thread | Stitches | Of the total | Skeins * |
|---|---|---|---|
| FINCA 2123 | 35,565 | 100.0 % | 21 |
| 1 threads | 35,565 | 100 % | 21 skeins |
* The skeins are a guide: they assume about 1,700 stitches per skein with two strands on 14-count, rounded up. Finer thread goes further, doubled thread goes less far.
What this one asks of you
